Journeyman Electrician
About This Role
Journeyman Electrician needed in Guymon, OK for local commercial and residential projects. This role is best for experienced electricians who want steady, local work and the chance to use trade skills with minimal supervision. You’ll work on a variety of jobs across the Guymon area — installing and maintaining service equipment, lighting, raceways, and residential wiring. Expect hands-on tasks, reading drawings on-site, troubleshooting electrical systems, and completing work to code with a focus on safety and reliability.
What You'll Do
- • Perform journeyman-level installations, repairs, and maintenance on commercial and residential electrical systems in the Guymon area.
- • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to plan and lay out work.
- • Install wireway, raceway, conduit, pull and terminate wiring, and install lighting systems to code.
- • Select, install and test overcurrent protective devices (breakers, fuses) and ensure proper coordination.
- • Troubleshoot electrical systems: diagnose faults, measure amps, inspect for wear and safety issues, and make repairs.
- • Work independently on local jobs, keep tools and materials organized, and complete daily job documentation.
What We're Looking For
- • Proven journeyman-level experience on commercial electrical service installations and residential wiring.
- • Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and plans on-site.
- • Strong troubleshooting skills: electrical diagnostics, amp testing, safety assessments, and routine repairs.
- • Hands-on experience installing wireways, raceways, conduit, and lighting fixtures.
- • Working knowledge of selecting and installing overcurrent protection and performing code-compliant work.
Qualifications
- • Journeyman electrician license or state-recognized certification (required or eligible).
- • Working knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70) and local electrical codes.
- • OSHA 10 (preferred); additional safety certifications a plus.
- • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record.
- • Able to pass background check and drug screen.
- • Spanish language skills a plus but not required.
