Journeyman Electrician
About This Role
Join a busy Nashville team as a Journeyman Electrician working on commercial, healthcare, education, and life-science projects. You’ll install, maintain, and repair electrical systems to code, read and interpret blueprints, and troubleshoot issues on job sites across the region. This is hands-on work in a safety-first environment. You’ll coordinate with superintendents, project managers, and engineers, use common trade tools and test equipment, and help deliver projects that meet schedule and client expectations. Pay is up to $44/hr depending on experience.
What You'll Do
- • Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems and components to code
- • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to layout and complete work
- • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults using appropriate test equipment
- • Coordinate daily tasks with superintendents, project managers, engineers, and other trades
- • Follow site safety plans, use PPE, and enforce safe work practices to protect crew and clients
What We're Looking For
- • Minimum 8+ years construction/electrical experience on commercial projects
- • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and schematics
- • Strong troubleshooting skills with hand tools and electrical testing equipment
- • Knowledge of local and NEC codes and ability to perform work to inspection standards
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites; able to travel locally
Qualifications
- • State electrician license (preferred)
- • OSHA 30 (preferred) or OSHA 10 acceptable
- • 8+ years documented field experience in commercial electrical work
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- • English fluency (spoken and written) for safe communication on site
