Journeyman Electrician

About this role

DPR is hiring a Journeyman Electrician in Phoenix, AZ to install electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment per project specifications and diagrams. The role involves both routine and non-routine installations on commercial projects and requires clear communication with leadership and crew members. The Journeyman will test and troubleshoot electrical faults, read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents, maintain tools and work areas in a safe, organized manner, and follow established safety protocols and quality standards. High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience is required.

What you'll do

• Install routine and non-routine electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to project specs and diagrams
• Test and troubleshoot electrical systems to identify and resolve faults efficiently
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to guide installation and repair
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe, organized condition
• Follow safety protocols and quality standards to ensure compliance on site
• Communicate progress, issues, and needs to leadership and crew members to support project coordination

What we're looking for

• Proven ability to install commercial electrical systems and lighting
• Experience testing and troubleshooting electrical faults and systems
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
• Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Strong verbal and written communication with leadership and crew
• Maintain safe work practices and organized tools/equipment on site

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician License (state licensed electrician required)
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction — must complete within 6 months of hire
• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience
• English (required)
