Electrician (Journeyman) - Charlotte, NC
About This Role
We are hiring experienced electricians across the Charlotte metro area, including Gastonia and Huntersville. This role covers commercial and residential installations, service work, and medium/high‑voltage systems. We're looking to add 5 skilled techs by the end of the year. You’ll work on conduit bending and pulling large cable, transformer installation and maintenance, lighting and low‑voltage installs, and troubleshooting. Expect to travel within the metro, work Monday–Friday with possible overtime, and take responsibility for quality work and jobsite safety.
What You'll Do
- • Bend and install conduit; pull large cable and make terminations for commercial and residential jobs
- • Install, test, and maintain transformers and medium/high‑voltage equipment
- • Set up and wire commercial electric services, lighting systems, and low‑voltage components
- • Troubleshoot electrical systems, perform testing, and make repairs to bring systems up to code
- • Lead small crews or act as foreman on jobs—coordinate labor, materials, and site safety
- • Read blueprints and wiring diagrams; complete job documentation and communicate progress with dispatch
What We're Looking For
- • 3+ years of electrical installation and service experience (commercial & residential)
- • Proven skill with conduit bending, pulling conduit/large cable, and cable termination
- • Experience with transformer installation/maintenance and medium/high‑voltage work
- • Ability to read electrical drawings, use test equipment (multimeter, megohmmeter), and follow OSHA/site safety rules
- • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and ability to travel across the Charlotte metro
Qualifications
- • Journeyman electrician certification or equivalent experience (licensed preferred)
- • OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30 preferred) safety card
- • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- • Clean driving record; DOT physical if required for vehicle operation
- • English required; Spanish a plus
