Datacenter Electrician (Journeyman)

About this role

We’re hiring a journeyman electrician for datacenter work in Memphis, TN. This is a per diem assignment in a mission‑critical commercial facility — expect structured schedules, strict site access, and work focused on power distribution, medium‑voltage gear, and emergency power systems. You’ll install and maintain conduit, raceways, distribution equipment, and equipment terminations. The right candidate reads blueprints, follows code, completes MV terminations and large cable pulls, and works cleanly in a secure datacenter environment. Immediate start for qualified electricians with datacenter or commercial experience.

What you'll do

• • Install and terminate medium‑voltage and low‑voltage distribution equipment, including stress cone terminations and cable connections
• • Bend and install conduit, wireways, and raceways; pull large multicore and feeder cable to spec
• • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and shop drawings to layout circuits and equipment
• • Install and maintain standby and emergency power systems, transfer switches, and overcurrent protection devices
• • Perform field testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning tasks; complete job documentation and punch lists
• • Coordinate with site supervision and other trades to maintain uptime and follow site safety and access procedures

What we're looking for

• • Journeyman electrician with commercial or datacenter experience
• • Hands‑on experience with conduit bending, pulling large cable, and raceway installation
• • Proven work with medium‑voltage (MV) terminations, stress cones, and MV equipment maintenance
• • Familiarity selecting and installing overcurrent devices, transfer switches, and standby/emergency systems
• • Able to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• • Comfort working in mission‑critical, access‑controlled facilities and following strict site protocols

Qualifications

• • Valid journeyman electrician license or equivalent certification
• • Experience with medium‑voltage terminations and testing (MV)
• • NFPA 70E knowledge or electrical safety training (preferred OSHA 10/30)
• • Able to pass background check and site security clearance
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to travel locally to site
