Electrical Technician

About this role

DPR is hiring an Electrical Technician in Charlotte, NC to support licensed electricians and develop core electrical trade skills through structured on-the-job and classroom training. This entry-level role assists the crew with wiring, conduit, equipment setup, jobsite organization and documentation. The technician will prepare materials and tools, help set up equipment, follow site safety procedures, document completed work and materials used, and maintain clean, organized work areas. OSHA 10 completion is required within six months of hire if not already certified.

What you'll do

• Support licensed electricians by preparing materials, tools and work areas for daily tasks
• Assist with basic wiring, conduit installation and equipment setup under direct supervision
• Follow site safety procedures and complete OSHA 10 within six months if not already certified
• Document completed work and materials used to assist with project tracking
• Maintain jobsite cleanliness and organize tools and materials; assist with loading and unloading
• Participate in on-the-job and classroom training to build electrical trade knowledge

What we're looking for

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and learn basic wiring and conduit installation
• Basic reading and interpretation of technical drawings/blueprints
• Experience handling, loading and unloading materials and tools
• Clear verbal and written communication to report progress and questions
• Ability to perform site clean up and keep work areas organized

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction — complete within 6 months if not already certified
• English (required)
