Electrical Technician

About this role

EIG, part of the DPR Family of Companies, is hiring an Electrical Technician in Nashville, TN to support licensed electricians and develop core trade skills through structured training. This entry-level role assists with wiring, conduit installation, equipment setup, jobsite organization, and material preparation under direct supervision. The technician follows safety procedures, documents completed work and materials used for project tracking, and participates in on-the-job and classroom training to build electrical trade knowledge. OSHA 10 completion is required within six months if not already certified.

What you'll do

• Support licensed electricians by preparing materials, tools, and work areas for daily tasks
• Assist with basic wiring, conduit installation, and equipment setup under direct supervision
• Follow safety procedures on site and complete required safety training
• Document completed work and materials used to support project tracking
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites and workspaces
• Participate in structured on-the-job and classroom training to build trade skills

What we're looking for

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Experience loading and unloading materials and basic site cleanup
• Strong verbal and written communication across teams
• Basic knowledge of low-voltage systems and general electrical work
• Familiarity with selection and installation of overcurrent devices

Qualifications

• OSHA 10-Hour Construction — required (must complete within 6 months if not already certified)
• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
• English — required
