Electrical Foreman

About this role

DPR is hiring an Electrical Foreman in Charlotte, NC to supervise electricians, apprentices, and laborers on commercial construction projects. The Foreman will ensure electrical work meets NEC, contract plans and specifications, budget, schedule, and company quality standards. Day-to-day the role leads and trains crews installing wiring, equipment, fixtures, controls and low-voltage systems; reads and interprets plans and installation manuals; coordinates materials, equipment, and work sequences to meet the construction schedule; performs and oversees testing, troubleshooting and quality-control inspections; and enforces jobsite safety while supporting the Superintendent.

What you'll do

• Lead and train electricians, apprentices, and laborers in installing wiring, equipment, fixtures and controls.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications and installation manuals to plan work and materials.
• Order, organize and coordinate project materials and equipment; establish and maintain work sequences to meet schedule.
• Coordinate with other trades and the Superintendent to ensure smooth work sequencing and transitions.
• Perform and oversee testing, troubleshooting and quality-control inspections of electrical systems and circuits.
• Promote and enforce jobsite safety standards and support a strong team culture on site.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2+ years as a Foreman/Leadman in commercial construction and minimum 2 years’ experience as a Journeyman electrician.
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and local building codes; ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems using test equipment and hand tools.
• Experience installing lighting, wiring, conduit, panels and low-voltage/VDV systems as shown on drawings.
• Strong communication, conflict-resolution and team leadership skills; able to coordinate across trades.
• Ability to organize materials, manage work sequences and keep work on schedule while maintaining quality and safety.

• Valid driver’s license
• Pass background check including drug test
• English (required)
• Minimum 2+ years Foreman/Leadman in commercial construction; minimum 2 years Journeyman electrician experience
