Electrical Foreman

About this role

We’re hiring an Electrical Foreman to lead electricians, apprentices, and laborers on commercial construction projects in Charlotte, NC. You’ll supervise installations to meet NEC, contract plans, schedule, budget, and quality standards while working under the Superintendent. This is a hands-on foreman role: read plans and install drawings, organize materials and crews, perform testing and troubleshooting, and enforce site safety. Expect on-site work across commercial and industrial projects with some travel possible around the Charlotte area.

What you'll do

  • Lead, train, and supervise electricians, apprentices, and laborers on day-to-day electrical installations.
  • Read and interpret plans, specs, and installation manuals to plan work and order materials.
  • Coordinate materials, tools, equipment, and work sequences with other trades to meet schedules.
  • Perform and oversee testing, troubleshooting, and quality-control inspections of electrical systems.
  • Enforce jobsite safety rules, maintain a safe work environment, and report progress to the Superintendent.

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years experience as a Foreman/Leadman on commercial construction projects.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Journeyman electrician installing commercial electrical systems.
  • Proven ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings; plan installs from prints.
  • Strong knowledge of the NEC, local code compliance, conduit bending, and overcurrent device selection.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills using test equipment for power, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
  • Clear verbal and written communication; coordinate across trades and document work progress.

  • OSHA 30 (required)
  • OSHA 10 (required)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Pass background check and drug screen
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • Familiarity with construction management software and mobile reporting tools
