About this role

Hiring electrical tradespeople for high-voltage substation work on projects across West Texas. Openings include Electrical Helpers, Electrical Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians to work on 35 kV and above systems. Tasks include installation, terminations, cable pulling, grounding and general substation electrical work. Work requires travel to project sites across West Texas from the Austin area, strict adherence to safety procedures around energized equipment, and the ability to work multi-day project rotations. What you'll do

• • Install, terminate and test high-voltage equipment and cable systems (35 kV and above)
• • Pull, dress and secure power and control cables in raceways, trenches and vaults
• • Install grounding and bonding systems; verify continuity and proper connections
• • Read and follow technical drawings, schematics and site plans for installations
• • Follow all site safety procedures when working around energized systems and perform lockout/tagout as required
• • Load/unload materials, maintain tools and report equipment needs to supervisors

What we're looking for

• • Hands-on experience on substation work at 35 kV or higher
• • Proven ability to perform terminations, splices, cable pulls and grounding
• • Comfortable working safely near energized high-voltage systems and enforcing safety rules
• • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and blueprints
• • Willingness to travel to West Texas project sites and work multi-day rotations

Qualifications

• • Journeyman electrician credential or current enrollment in an electrical apprenticeship program (as applicable)
• • Documented experience with medium/high-voltage systems (35 kV+)
• • Valid driver's license and ability to travel for extended periods
• • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
• • Proficient in reading technical drawings and applying local electrical code
• • OSHA 10/30 or willingness to complete site-specific safety training
