Electrician (Journeyman) — Talbot Unit 7, GA

GA $22-$37/hr

About this role

We are seeking experienced industrial electricians for the Talbot Unit 7 power project in GA. This is heavy industrial electrical construction work focused on conduit systems, cable tray and large-cable installation, equipment wiring/terminations, and power distribution. Journeyman-level candidates with prior industrial project experience will be prioritized. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience on power generation or heavy industrial sites and can read electrical blueprints, perform rigid conduit bending, pull large cable, and support medium-voltage, switchgear/MCC, and commissioning tasks as needed. Industrial safety practices are required; residential or standard commercial experience alone may not meet project needs.

What you'll do

  • Bend and install rigid conduit per drawings and site standards
  • Install cable tray systems and pull large power and control cables
  • Perform equipment wiring and terminations on switchgear, MCCs, generators and auxiliaries
  • Read and follow electrical blueprints, schematics and installation drawings
  • Work on medium-voltage distribution and terminations when assigned; support switchgear/MCC installs
  • Support commissioning/startup and instrumentation & controls tasks as required

What we're looking for

  • Journeyman-level industrial electrical construction experience on heavy industrial or power projects
  • Proven ability with rigid conduit bending and installation practices
  • Experience installing cable tray and pulling large power/control cable
  • Skilled at equipment wiring and terminations, and interpreting electrical drawings
  • Familiarity with industrial electrical safety practices and site safety rules
  • Willingness to support medium-voltage, switchgear/MCC, generator auxiliaries, I&C and commissioning when needed

Qualifications

  • NCCER certification (preferred)
  • OSHA 10 (required)
  • Journeyman electrician card or equivalent documented industrial experience
  • Medium-voltage training or certification preferred; commissioning/I&C coursework a plus

What we offer

  • Project-based, steady industrial work on a defined unit construction effort
  • Overtime opportunities based on project schedule and needs
  • Site-specific safety orientation and ongoing safety training provided
  • Opportunities to advance into lead or foreman roles on project
  • Company-provided PPE and on-site facilities (orientation, safety briefings, toolbox talks)
