Electrician

About this role

Join a hands‑on team in Montgomery, AL as an electrician responsible for installations, maintenance and troubleshooting on residential and light commercial jobs. You will work from plans and technical drawings to install lighting, wiring and electrical systems while keeping work sites safe and code‑compliant. This is a full‑time role (typical Monday–Friday schedule with possible overtime or on‑call shifts). Candidates should have proven experience with residential wiring, lighting installation, general electrical work and be willing to relocate if needed. Clear communication, accurate recordkeeping and teamwork are required.

What you'll do

• • Perform electrical installations and maintenance on residential and light commercial projects, including wiring, panels, breakers and lighting.
• • Troubleshoot electrical systems: diagnose faults, check loads/amps, identify wear and safety hazards, and implement repairs.
• • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and electrical schematics to plan and execute work.
• • Follow safety procedures and local electrical codes; maintain clean, organized job sites and proper PPE use.
• • Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used and time logs; communicate progress with supervisors and crew.

What we're looking for

• • Proven experience troubleshooting electrical systems (safety checks, amps/load, wear and tear).
• • Experience with lighting installation and residential wiring.
• • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint for reports and documentation.
• • General electrical, ironwork and pipefitting skills; comfortable using hand and power tools on site.
• • Willingness to relocate to Montgomery, AL or already local and available for full‑time work.

Qualifications

• • High school diploma or GED required; technical schooling or trade school a plus
• • Journeyman electrician license or equivalent field experience preferred
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• • Able to pass pre‑employment background check and drug screen
• • Proficient in English; additional languages a plus
