About This Role

Join a hands-on electrical crew in Surprise, AZ as a Journeyman Electrician. You’ll install, maintain and repair commercial and industrial electrical systems—work includes modular electrical rooms, rooftop PV installs, prefabrication and preconstruction tasks. Pay is up to $41/hr with overtime opportunities. This is a field-first role: you’ll read blueprints and schematics, troubleshoot electrical issues on-site, install power distribution equipment and network devices, and work closely with superintendents, project managers and other trades. Strong work ethic, clear communication, and practical experience in construction are required.

What You'll Do

  • Install, maintain and repair commercial and industrial electrical systems on rooftops, modular rooms and prefab assemblies
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical drawings to layout and complete installations
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and PV/solar installations — diagnose faults, test circuits and repair wiring/components
  • Install and commission power distribution units (PDU), network equipment and related devices; perform final testing and documentation
  • Follow jobsite safety plans, local codes and company procedures; attend safety meetings and use proper PPE at all times
  • Coordinate daily with superintendents, project managers and other trades; keep accurate logs, change orders and communicate progress to foremen and clients

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years construction industry experience as an electrician (commercial/industrial pref.)
  • Proven experience with PV/solar rooftop installs, modular electrical rooms, prefabrication or rooftop work
  • Strong blueprint and technical drawing reading skills; ability to layout and execute from schematics
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills for electrical systems, distribution equipment and network device installs
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to jobsites; dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
  • OSHA 30 and state electrician license preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certifications and additional training

Qualifications

  • 10+ years electrical construction experience
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • OSHA 30 preferred; OSHA 10 acceptable
  • State electrician license preferred (where applicable)
  • Proficient in English (verbal and written) for jobsite communication and documentation
