Journeyman Electrician — PV & Commercial
About This Role
Join a hands-on electrical crew working on PV (solar) farms, commercial construction, and pipeline E&I projects near Baileyville, TX. You’ll be on-site installing and maintaining transformers, medium/high-voltage distribution, conduit and raceways, heat tracing, and low-voltage systems including fire, access control and intrusion detection. This role pays up to $36/hr and is open to electricians willing to relocate. Work is a mix of outdoor solar farm hours, commercial builds, and pipeline stations — heavy lifting, cable pulls, and precision wiring/testing are part of the day. Candidates should be safe, reliable, and experienced with both power and low-voltage systems.
What You'll Do
- • Install, bend and secure conduit, wireways, raceways, pull large cable and complete conduit terminations on PV farms and commercial sites
- • Install, test and maintain transformers, medium- and high-voltage distribution equipment, and overcurrent protection devices
- • Install and service PV (solar) systems: racking, inverters, combiners, grounding, and perform PV system maintenance
- • Install heat tracing and freeze protection systems on pipeline and station piping; test and troubleshoot temperature transmitters and flow meters
- • Install and maintain low-voltage systems: fire alarm, intrusion detection, access control, voice/data/video and standby/emergency systems
- • Perform instrument checks, SCADA/PLC work, soldering/brazing, motor controller selection/install, and document work to drawings and pipeline E&I specs
What We're Looking For
- • Proven experience on PV (solar) farm installs and commercial electrical construction
- • Skilled in conduit bending, pulling large cable, and raceway/wireway installation
- • Experience with transformer installation/maintenance and medium/high-voltage equipment
- • Comfortable working on heat tracing, pipeline leak-detection instruments, SCADA/PLC systems and instrumentation
- • Able to install and maintain low-voltage systems: fire alarm, intrusion detection, access control, VDV
- • Physically fit for heavy lifting, rooftop and outdoor work; able to travel and relocate for projects
Qualifications
- • State Licensed Electrician (required)
- • Familiarity with NEC and ability to read/interpret electrical and pipeline E&I drawings
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- • Comfortable using meters/testers and performing inspection/test/maintenance on instruments
