About This Role

Join a large-scale solar field construction crew near Hobbs, NM as a Licensed Electrical Journeyman. You’ll work outdoors on commercial/industrial electrical installs — bending conduit, pulling cable, making terminations, and following site plans to the letter. We need hands-on electricians who read drawings, inspect work, and keep the site safe and code-compliant. Open to candidates willing to relocate; competitive pay, overtime, and relocation support available for qualified workers.

What You'll Do

  • Bend conduit, install plastic and steel raceways, pull and dress cable for solar arrays and combiner boxes
  • Perform electrical terminations on AC/DC equipment, junctions, and panels to spec
  • Read and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and site layout plans
  • Perform daily work inspections and verify installations meet electrical code and project specs
  • Communicate clearly with foremen, leads, and other trades to coordinate tasks and resolve issues
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and site housekeeping; report safety hazards and follow PPE protocols

What We're Looking For

  • State Licensed Electrician with proven commercial and industrial construction experience
  • Skilled in conduit bending, cable pulling, terminations, and general electrical installation
  • Able to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical blueprints
  • Strong verbal and written communication—able to coordinate with supervisors and other trades
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal electrical codes and construction safety practices
  • Comfortable working outdoors in desert conditions and on large-scale projects; reliable attendance

Qualifications

  • State Licensed Electrician (required)
  • Commercial and industrial electrical project experience
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • OSHA 10 (required) or OSHA 30 (preferred)
  • Ability to pass drug screen and background check
  • Spanish language skills helpful but not required; willing to relocate to Hobbs, NM
