Journeyman Electrician — Solar Projects (FL)

About this role

Seeking experienced journeyman electricians to support solar projects across Florida. You will perform journeyman-level electrical work on PV systems, including conduit and raceway installation, wiring, system commissioning, and troubleshooting. Work is field-based across multiple sites and requires following electrical drawings, codes, and site safety procedures. This role involves travel within Florida, working on rooftops and ground-mount solar arrays, and collaborating directly with solar installation crews and site supervisors. Strong hands-on electrical experience, comfort with PV equipment, and a focus on safe, code-compliant work are required.

What you'll do

• • Perform journeyman-level electrical installation and wiring for commercial and utility-scale PV systems
• • Install and terminate wireways, raceways, conduit, panels, inverters, and overcurrent devices per drawings and code
• • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and site layout plans; follow installation sequences
• • Troubleshoot electrical systems on site (amps, safety faults, wear and tear) and perform system commissioning and testing
• • Coordinate with solar installation teams and site supervisors to ensure work is safe, inspected, and code-compliant
• • Maintain tools, keep accurate installation records, and report issues or delays to supervision promptly

What we're looking for

• • Minimum several years of journeyman-level electrical experience, preferably with solar/PV projects
• • Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and site layouts
• • Hands-on experience with conduit, raceway, wire pulling, terminations, and overcurrent device installation
• • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills including safe handling of energized equipment and system commissioning
• • Willingness and ability to travel across Florida and work outdoors in variable site conditions
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between job sites

Qualifications

• • Journeyman electrician license or completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship
• • OSHA 10 (required) — OSHA 30 preferred
• • Basic First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to complete prior to site work
• • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• • Comfort working at heights, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs
• • Spanish language skills a plus
