Electrician Journeyman — Substations

About This Role

We’re hiring a Licensed Electrical Journeyman to work on substation builds and industrial power projects across the country. This is hands-on field work: high-voltage systems, conduit bending, terminations, and control wiring on large electrical installations. Expect steady project-based work with travel. Pay is $35–$44/hr depending on experience. You’ll work on-site with crews, follow safety procedures, and perform technical installations and testing on PLC panels, transmitters, terminal blocks and related systems.

What You'll Do

• • Install and terminate high-voltage equipment and cabling in substations and industrial sites
• • Bend and install conduit, pull wire, and make terminations to code and project specs
• • Install and wire PLC panels, transmitters, terminal blocks and control wiring
• • Read electrical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams to complete installations
• • Perform testing, troubleshooting and documentation of completed work; assist with commissioning

What We're Looking For

• • State-licensed Electrical Journeyman in good standing
• • Proven industrial experience working on high-voltage systems; substation experience preferred
• • Skilled at conduit bending, cable pulling and making clean, code-compliant terminations
• • Ability to read electrical schematics, panel layouts and control wiring diagrams
• • Willingness to travel nationwide and work overtime as project schedules require

Qualifications

• • Current State Journeyman Electrician license (required)
• • Experience with PLC panels, transmitters, terminal blocks and control wiring
• • Familiarity with high-voltage safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures
• • Valid driver's license and ability to travel overnight as needed
• • OSHA 10/30 or equivalent safety training preferred
