Journeyman Electrician — Moro, AR
About This Role
Journeyman Electrician needed to support construction of a utility-scale solar project in Moro, AR. You’ll perform code-compliant electrical installation and termination work outdoors on a large-scale site, ensuring work meets safety and quality standards. This is a traveling, full-time position paying $42.00/hr with per diem for travel assignments. You will install and terminate combiner boxes, panels and LV equipment, perform testing and commissioning, and supervise apprentices and daily material staging on site.
What You'll Do
- • Terminate combiner boxes, panels, LV equipment and DC wiring; install electrical enclosures and metering equipment
- • Layout, bend, thread and install conduit, raceways, switchgear, switchboards and electrical devices
- • Pull and terminate aluminum direct-bury wire and run DC cable; install cable pathways and supports
- • Trench by hand and install PVC raceway; unload, stage and organize materials on site
- • Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting and commissioning of PV systems and low-voltage equipment
- • Supervise apprentices, direct daily work assignments, and coordinate material staging to keep crews productive
What We're Looking For
- • State journeyman electrician license required
- • Minimum 4 years electrical construction experience; solar experience preferred
- • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and on uneven terrain; able to lift, bend and climb as needed
- • Proven knowledge of electrical codes, safe work practices, and proper use of tools and equipment
- • Must have basic hand tools (tape measure, level, side-cutting pliers/lineman’s) and reliable transportation for travel
- • Willingness to travel to Moro, AR and stay on assignment (per diem provided)
Qualifications
- • State Licensed Electrician (Journeyman) — required
- • Minimum 4 years relevant electrical construction experience
- • Must be 18+ with proof of identity and employment authorization
- • Own basic hand tools: tape measure, level, side-cutting pliers (lineman’s)
- • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job site
