Journeyman Electrician
About this role
Join a utility-scale solar construction crew building a project in Moro, AR. This hands-on journeyman role focuses on code-compliant electrical installation, termination of combiner boxes and LV equipment, conduit and raceway work, and system testing/commissioning in an outdoor environment. You will supervise apprentices, coordinate daily material staging, and follow site safety and quality standards. Position requires travel to the project site and a dependable, full-time work schedule.
What you'll do
- • Terminate combiner boxes, panels, LV equipment and DC wiring to code
- • Layout, bend, thread and install conduit, raceways, and PVC raceways in trenches
- • Install and lay out switchgear, switchboards, metering and electrical enclosures
- • Pull and terminate large aluminum direct-bury cable and run DC wire to PV equipment
- • Perform electrical testing and commissioning of solar systems and assist troubleshooting
- • Supervise apprentices, unload and stage materials, and coordinate daily work tasks on site
What we're looking for
- • Must hold a current state Journeyman Electrician license
- • Minimum 4 years of electrical construction experience; solar project experience preferred
- • Able to read and interpret drawings, conduit/panel layouts, and technical schematics
- • Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods and performing physical labor (lifting, climbing, trenching)
- • Must provide basic hand tools (tape measure, level, side-cutting pliers/lineman’s) and follow site safety rules
- • Willingness to travel to the Moro, AR project site and maintain reliable attendance
Qualifications
- • State-licensed Journeyman Electrician (required)
- • Minimum 4 years’ relevant electrical construction experience
- • Familiarity with PV (solar) system installation and medium/low-voltage work preferred
- • Own basic tools: tape measure, level, side-cutting pliers (lineman’s)
- • Must be 18+ with proof of identity and work authorization
- • Demonstrated commitment to safety and the ability to work independently and on a crew
