Commercial Construction Foreman

About this role

We are hiring a hands-on Commercial Construction Foreman in Raleigh, NC to lead interior and exterior commercial build-outs. You’ll supervise crews and subs, enforce site safety and quality, read drawings, and keep projects on schedule and on spec. This role suits a proven carpenter/foreman who can plan daily work, train and inspect staff, coordinate material and equipment (including cranes and scaffolds), and step in to perform bench, finish and rough carpentry—doors and hardware work included.

What you'll do

• • Supervise daily on-site activities: assign crews, manage subcontracts, enforce schedules and track time-and-materials
• • Read and interpret plans and develop site layout, measuring, cutting, and work sequences
• • Oversee and perform framing, rough and finish carpentry, cabinet and countertop installation, trim, paneling and door/hardware installs
• • Manage scaffolding setup, crane signaling, site safety compliance, and regular work inspections
• • Coordinate concrete formwork, floor and stair framing, window installation, and related trades to maintain workflow
• • Train crew members, conduct quality checks, document progress, and report issues to project leadership

What we're looking for

• • Proven experience as a commercial construction foreman or master/journeyman carpenter on commercial projects
• • Skilled in drawing reading/interpretation, bench carpentry, finish and rough carpentry, cabinetmaking and door/hardware installation
• • Experience with metal and wood framing (interior partitions, floor, stair and roof framing), concrete formwork, and scaffolding systems
• • Strong time-and-material management, schedule development, site layout, measuring/cutting and work inspection skills
• • Ability to perform crane signaling, in-wall blocking, countertop installation, and oversee excavation/trench work safely
• • Reliable transportation to Raleigh-area sites and ability to work a construction schedule (early starts, possible overtime)

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 construction safety card
• • Journeyman Carpenter or Master Carpenter certification (or equivalent experience)
• • Qualified crane signalperson certification or proven signaling experience
• • Current First Aid/CPR certification and site safety training
• • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency preferred
