About this role
DN is hiring a general laborer in Charleston, West Virginia to provide site support and basic construction assistance. This role is focused on local candidates and fits crews working on commercial and residential jobs, including concrete and tilt-up work. Expect hands-on tasks like moving materials, demolition and debris removal, site clean-up, traffic control/flagging, and basic carpentry support. This is a per diem position for candidates able to work under a foreman and assist where needed on site.
What you'll do
- Load and unload materials, tools and equipment on site
- Perform demolition tasks and remove debris safely
- Keep job sites clean and organized; perform site clean-up
- Provide traffic control and flagging as directed
- Assist with basic carpentry tasks (formwork, blocking, blocking cleanup)
- Support concrete and tilt-up operations on commercial and residential projects
What we're looking for
- Experience loading and unloading construction materials
- Hands-on demolition and site clean-up experience
- Ability to perform traffic control and flagging duties
- Basic carpentry and general construction experience
- Experience working on commercial and residential construction sites, including concrete/tilt-up work
- Comfortable working under a foreman and following site directions
