General Labor / Construction Driver

About this role

Regional commercial construction firm seeks an experienced construction pro and driver based in Covington, GA. You’ll work on steady commercial projects doing concrete, civil, sitework, and carpentry tasks, with frequent out-of-state travel during the week. This is hands-on field work: pouring and forming concrete, site layout, excavation support, loading/unloading materials, and driving crew or equipment between jobs. If you have 5+ years in commercial construction, a valid driver’s license, and are ready to travel, this is a steady role with room to grow.

What you'll do

• • Perform concrete work: formwork, placement, finishing, and general concrete tasks
• • Support sitework and civil tasks: excavation, trenching, backfill, and site cleanup
• • Load, secure and transport materials, tools, and small equipment to/from job sites
• • Drive crew vehicle or box truck between job sites; follow route and schedule for out-of-state travel
• • Read and follow drawings, site layout, and building codes on day-to-day tasks
• • Maintain jobsite safety, keep tools/equipment organized, and assist with demolition or carpentry as needed

What we're looking for

• • 5+ years commercial construction experience (concrete, civil, sitework, or carpentry preferred)
• • Able to travel out of state throughout the week (overnight stays common)
• • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• • Ability to read drawings, measure and cut materials, and follow site layout
• • Physically able to lift heavy materials, work outdoors in all weather, and stand/stoop for long periods
• • Willingness to follow safety rules, drug screen, and basic background check

Qualifications

• • Valid driver’s license (required); clean driving record
• • OSHA 10 (preferred) or willingness to obtain
• • Ability to pass drug test and background check
• • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
• • 5+ years documented commercial construction experience
