General Laborer / Driver

About this role

Regional commercial contractor seeking an experienced general laborer/driver based in Covington, GA. This is steady commercial work on projects that regularly require out-of-state travel during the week. You’ll work hands-on with concrete, civil, sitework and carpentry tasks, support specialty trades, and travel to regional job sites. Looking for a dependable, experienced construction pro who can read basic plans, handle physical site duties, and drive to projects when needed.

What you'll do

• • Perform concrete work: formwork, placement, finishing, and basic repairs
• • Assist with sitework and civil tasks including excavation support, trenching, and backfill
• • Load, secure and unload materials and equipment at job sites
• • Follow site layout and set lines/grades per plans and instructions
• • Drive crew or equipment to out-of-state job sites as scheduled
• • Keep job sites clean and safe; perform demolition and site cleanup as directed

What we're looking for

• • Minimum 5 years commercial construction experience
• • Experience in concrete, civil, sitework, or carpentry preferred
• • Able to travel out of state throughout the week and stay overnight as needed
• • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company or crew vehicles
• • Ability to read basic drawings, measure and cut materials, and follow instructions
• • Physically fit for heavy lifting, climbing, and full workdays on site

Qualifications

• • Valid driver’s license (required); clean driving record preferred
• • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
• • OSHA 10 or equivalent site safety training preferred
• • Comfortable using common hand and power tools; basic layout and measurement skills
