Pile Driver
About this role
Local jobsite in Damascus, Virginia is hiring experienced pile drivers for a multi-week infrastructure project. This role is hands-on: set up rigs, drive piles, handle rigging, and work closely with the site crew to meet daily production goals. Candidates must have at least 5 years of piling experience, be comfortable working outdoors in varied conditions, and be available for travel to the jobsite. Hourly pay and a daily per diem are provided when site requirements are met. Steady project work and a safety-first environment.
What you'll do
- • Set up, operate, and shut down pile-driving equipment (hammers, leads, cranes, vibratory hammers) per site procedures
- • Rig, secure, and guide piles into position; perform pile alignment and initial driving operations
- • Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance; report mechanical issues promptly
- • Follow engineered plans and pile-driving records; keep accurate daily logs and production reports
- • Work with crew to move materials, secure the work area, and follow site safety and traffic-control plans
What we're looking for
- • Minimum 5 years hands-on piling experience on commercial or heavy civil projects
- • Proven ability to operate pile-driving rigs, cranes, or heavy equipment used in piling
- • Comfortable reading basic plans, pile logs, and following verbal directions from superintendents/foremen
- • Physically fit for heavy lifting, climbing, and working in outdoor conditions for long shifts
- • Reliable travel to the Damascus, VA jobsite and consistent on-time attendance
Qualifications
- • OSHA 10 (required) or OSHA 30 (preferred)
- • Rigging and signal-person certification preferred (where applicable)
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to site
- • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks
- • Basic English communication to follow safety directions; additional languages a plus
