Experienced Pile Driver — Damascus, VA

About this role

Experienced pile drivers needed in Damascus, VA. Pay is $32/hour with a $100 daily per diem for days worked when requirements are met. Candidates must have at least five years of piling experience and be ready to work on heavy civil piling operations. This is hands-on work operating pile-driving rigs, setting and aligning piles, and working with a small crew to meet project specs. If you have proven piling experience, a strong safety record, and reliable availability, this is a straightforward, well-paid opportunity.

What you'll do

• • Operate pile-driving equipment (vibratory, hydraulic, and/or impact hammers) and associated heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
• • Set, align, and drive timber, H-pile, pipe, and precast piles to project specifications and elevations.
• • Read basic plans, verify pile layouts, and report inconsistencies to foreman or supervisor.
• • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on rigs, hammers, and support equipment; report defects promptly.
• • Load and unload piles and rigging gear, assist with rigging and signaling during crane or equipment moves, and follow all site safety procedures.

What we're looking for

• • Minimum 5 years of hands-on piling experience (required).
• • Proven ability to operate pile driving rigs and related heavy equipment safely.
• • Comfortable performing physical labor outdoors in varied weather and job site conditions.
• • Able to read basic construction plans, follow instructions, and communicate clearly with crew.
• • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and ability to work full days on-site.

Qualifications

• • 5+ years piling experience (required).
• • Experience with vibratory, impact, and hydraulic hammers preferred.
• • Rigging and signal-person experience or certification preferred.
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• • OSHA 10/30 and other safety certifications are a plus.
