HDPE Pipe Layer / Pipefitter — Cartersville, GA

About this role

We need experienced HDPE pipe layers and pipefitters to work on projects in Cartersville and Carrollton, GA. You will install, fit, and join HDPE piping systems in the field, working with crews to meet project schedules and quality standards. This is hands-on general labor work that moves between the two Georgia sites. Candidates should be comfortable operating fusion equipment, handling pipe reels and fittings, working in trenches, and following site safety rules. Reliable attendance and the ability to travel between Cartersville and Carrollton are required.

What you'll do

• • Set, align, and install HDPE pipe and fittings according to plans and grades
• • Operate and maintain butt-fusion and/or electrofusion equipment for pipe joining
• • Assist with site layout, trench support, backfill, and pipe bedding as needed
• • Perform field checks, leak tests, and basic troubleshooting on piping systems
• • Handle material movement (reels, fittings, tools) and maintain tools/equipment in safe working order
• • Follow site safety procedures, complete required paperwork, and coordinate with crew leads on daily tasks

What we're looking for

• • Proven hands-on experience installing and fitting HDPE piping systems
• • Skilled operating butt-fusion or electrofusion equipment and basic fusion setup
• • Ability to read basic plans, measure grades, and verify alignment/tolerances
• • Comfortable working in trenches, confined spaces, and variable weather; able to lift and carry pipe and equipment
• • Reliable transportation and willingness to work at both Cartersville and Carrollton job sites

Qualifications

• • High school diploma or GED preferred
• • Field fusion operator certification or documented fusion experience preferred
• • OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30) preferred
• • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required for site travel
• • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
