About This Role

Join a hands-on construction crew in Merritt Island, FL as a Labor Foreman. You’ll coordinate daily tasks, lead and train workers, enforce safety and quality standards, and report progress to the Superintendent. This is a field-focused role — you’ll be in charge of getting work done safely and on schedule. We’re looking for someone with practical construction experience (2+ years), strong leadership and communication skills, and an emphasis on safety. OSHA 10 is required or you must be willing to obtain it (assistance available). Candidates offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate and schedule daily crew tasks to meet project plans and priorities
  • Supervise, train and allocate responsibilities to general laborers and subcrews
  • Monitor attendance, produce short-term schedules and ensure manpower/resources are adequate
  • Enforce safety protocols and quality standards; perform regular work inspections
  • Resolve on-site issues and roadblocks quickly to keep work moving
  • Report daily progress, issues and material needs to the Superintendent

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of hands-on construction experience or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Proven experience supervising or directing small crews on site
  • Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings and scopes
  • Strong verbal and written communication — report clearly to supervisors and crew
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, inventory control and quality inspection
  • Able to work in outdoor conditions, handle physical labor, and perform under changing weather/stress

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
  • OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain; assistance provided)
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal & written)
