Laborer/Carpenter Foreman
About This Role
Hands-on Laborer/Carpenter Foreman needed in Nashville, TN for commercial and industrial projects. You’ll lead a small crew, perform carpentry and concrete formwork, and ensure work is built to drawings and specs. We need someone with at least 5 years of carpentry experience (minimum 2 years supervising), certified to run telehandlers and lifts, and comfortable using Procore/Plangrid or similar plus Excel and an iPad for time reporting. Safety-first mindset and clear communication on site required.
What You'll Do
- • Lead and supervise carpentry/labor crews on commercial/industrial sites; assign tasks and manage daily workload.
- • Perform hands-on carpentry and concrete formwork, placement, reinforcement, finishing and repair as needed.
- • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings and civil drawings; set layout and verify dimensions.
- • Record crew hours and daily logs on iPad; enter data into Procore/Plangrid/BIM360 and use Excel for basic tracking.
- • Operate and oversee use of telehandler and boom/scissor lifts; enforce operator certification and safe equipment use.
- • Inspect work for quality and safety, conduct on-the-job training, and enforce OSHA/site safety requirements.
What We're Looking For
- • Minimum 5 years carpentry experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- • Telehandler (forklift) certification and boom/scissor lift certification required.
- • OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred. First Aid/CPR certification required.
- • Proficient with Excel (or similar) and experienced with Procore, Plangrid, BIM360 or equivalent.
- • Able to read and interpret construction documents, shop drawings, and civil layouts.
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; able to travel to job sites in and around Nashville.
