Laborer/Carpenter Foreman
About This Role
We are hiring a hands-on Laborer/Carpenter Foreman in Nashville, TN for commercial and industrial projects. You will lead a small crew, perform carpentry and concrete-related work, and keep jobs running on schedule and on budget. This role requires a minimum of 5 years carpentry experience (at least 2 years in a supervisory role), current lift and telehandler certifications, OSHA 10 (OSHA 30 preferred), First Aid/CPR, and comfort using Procore (or similar), Excel, and an iPad for time reporting.
What You'll Do
- • Lead, schedule and supervise crew members on commercial/industrial job sites; assign daily tasks and monitor productivity.
- • Read and interpret construction documents and shop drawings; lay out work and verify dimensions in the field.
- • Perform and oversee carpentry, concrete formwork & finishing, masonry support, demolition, scaffolding setup, and rigging as required.
- • Operate certified equipment (telehandler forklift, boom/scissor lifts) and perform daily equipment checks for safety and function.
- • Use Procore (or Plangrid/BIM360) and Excel to track progress, manage time & materials, and report via iPad for crew timekeeping.
- • Conduct quality inspections, enforce safety protocols, train crew members, and communicate schedule changes to project leads.
What We're Looking For
- • Minimum 5 years of hands-on carpentry experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory/foreman role.
- • Telehandler (forklift) certification and boom lift/scissor lift certification required.
- • OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred. First Aid/CPR certification required.
- • Proficient with Procore or similar construction management platforms and Excel (or comparable spreadsheets).
- • Able to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, civil/structural details, and perform site layout.
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must use iPad for time reporting for self and crew.
