Laborer/Carpenter Foreman
About This Role
Hands-on Laborer/Carpenter Foreman needed for commercial and industrial projects in Nashville, TN. You must bring at least 5 years of carpentry experience with a minimum of 2 years supervising crews. This is a field-first role—you’ll lead a small crew, perform layout and concrete/carpentry work, and keep projects moving on schedule. You will be expected to operate and oversee telehandler and aerial lift work, use Procore (or similar) and Excel for daily reporting, and use an iPad for time tracking. Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current First Aid/CPR certification. OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
What You'll Do
- • Lead and supervise a crew on-site: assign tasks, train workers, and inspect daily work quality.
- • Perform hands-on carpentry, concrete formwork, finishing, masonry support, rigging and layout.
- • Read and interpret construction documents, shop drawings, and civil/structural plans.
- • Operate or oversee telehandler, boom lift/scissor lift operations and ensure proper rigging.
- • Use Procore (or Plangrid/BIM360), Excel and iPad to report time, materials, and progress.
- • Enforce site safety, conduct toolbox talks, and maintain PPE, certifications, and incident reporting.
What We're Looking For
- • Minimum 5 years carpentry experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory/foreman role.
- • Telehandler (forklift) certification and boom lift/scissor lift certification required.
- • OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred. Current First Aid/CPR certification required.
- • Proficiency with Excel (or similar spreadsheets) and experience using Procore, Plangrid or BIM360.
- • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, civil drawings and site layouts.
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; comfortable using an iPad for time reporting.
Qualifications
- • Certifications: Telehandler Forklift, Boom Lift/Scissor Lift, OSHA 10 (OSHA 30 preferred), First Aid/CPR
- • Experience: 5+ years carpentry; 2+ years supervising crews on commercial/industrial projects
- • Software: Procore or similar (Plangrid, BIM360), Excel or equivalent spreadsheets, iPad time reporting
- • Skills: Blueprint/shop drawing reading, site layout, concrete formwork/placement, rigging, crew training
- • Credentials: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- • Languages: English required; Spanish or other language skills a plus
