Labor Journeyman (General Laborer)
About This Role
Join a construction crew in Baltimore as a Labor Journeyman performing essential site housekeeping and support tasks. You’ll keep worksites clean, help move and store materials, assist specialized trades, and follow direction from the Foreperson. This is hands-on, outdoor work in varying weather and fast-paced jobsite conditions. Safety is a priority — report incidents, follow protocols, and maintain a tidy, organized site. Assistance is available to obtain OSHA-10 certification if needed.
What You'll Do
- • Perform site setup and clean-up: remove construction debris, sweep, and maintain tidy work areas
- • Assist with deliveries, unloading, staging and storing materials safely and in designated areas
- • Support carpenters, masons, and other trades under the direction of the Foreperson
- • Clean and sanitize jobsite trailers, common areas, and tools as needed
- • Navigate jobsite terrain and carry out interior and exterior housekeeping tasks
- • Report safety incidents and injuries immediately to the Foreperson and Safety Leader
What We're Looking For
- • High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
- • Construction site experience preferred; willing to learn and follow trade directions
- • OSHA-10 certification required (assistance available to obtain if needed)
- • Able to lift, carry, and move heavy materials regularly (up to 50+ lbs)
- • Reliable transportation to job sites and dependable attendance
- • Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather and in high-stress environments
Qualifications
- • OSHA-10 Hour Certification (required or to be obtained upon hire)
- • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
- • Proof of certificates or credentials provided at hire
- • Basic English proficiency for safety and team communication
- • Physically able to perform manual labor and pass any required jobsite screenings
