General Laborer

About this role

Concrete, hands-on construction work on an active site in Fletcher, NC. This role is for someone who shows up ready to work: heavy lifting, moving materials, assisting trade crews, and keeping the site clean and safe. Typical schedule is day shift with possible overtime as project needs require. You’ll work outdoors in changing weather, use basic hand and power tools, and follow a site safety plan. The crew provides site-specific safety orientation and the chance to learn new skills on the job — good stepping stone to skilled trade roles for dependable team members.

What you'll do

• • Load, unload, move and stack materials and equipment on site
• • Perform general site cleanup, debris removal and maintain a tidy work area
• • Assist carpenters, concrete crews, and other trades with basic tasks
• • Use hand and power tools safely for cutting, drilling, and fastening
• • Set up and break down temporary barriers, signage, and protection
• • Follow daily directions from foremen and report hazards or damaged tools

What we're looking for

• • Reliable attendance and punctuality; able to work full shifts on-site
• • Able to lift, carry and move up to 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods
• • Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, and wet conditions
• • Basic familiarity with hand tools and power tools; ability to learn new tasks
• • Follow instructions, read basic measurements, and work as part of a crew
• • Willingness to work overtime and swing/extended shifts when needed

Qualifications

• • High school diploma or GED preferred
• • OSHA 10-hour card preferred (or willingness to obtain on hire)
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Fletcher jobsite
• • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• • Basic English proficiency for following directions and safety communication
