General Laborer

About this role

Immediate openings for general laborers on an active construction site in Fletcher, NC. You’ll perform physical, hands-on work supporting trades, moving and staging materials, and keeping the site safe and organized. Day and swing shift schedules available; consistent attendance and a strong work ethic are required. This role is crew-focused and fast-paced. You’ll receive site-specific safety training, PPE as needed, and on-the-job coaching. Good opportunities exist to learn trades and move into skilled roles for reliable workers who show up and perform.

What you'll do

• • Unload, move, stage and secure materials and equipment on site
• • Perform daily site cleanup, debris removal, and maintain proper waste disposal
• • Assist carpenters, concrete crews and other trades with hand tasks and prep work
• • Operate hand tools and small power tools; help set up barricades, signage, and safety controls
• • Load and unload trucks, assist with traffic control and material inventory counts

What we're looking for

• • Previous construction or manual labor experience preferred
• • Able to lift, carry and move heavy materials repeatedly (expect frequent lifting)
• • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and at times in tight spaces
• • Reliable transportation to and from Fletcher, NC jobsite and punctual attendance
• • Willing to comply with site safety rules, wear PPE, and complete site-specific safety training
• • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10-hour preferred or willing to obtain on hire
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• • High school diploma or GED preferred
• • First Aid/CPR certification a plus
• • English proficiency for reading safety instructions; Spanish speakers encouraged to apply
