General Laborer — Commercial Concrete & Sitework

About this role

We’re looking for an experienced commercial construction general laborer based in the Covington, GA area. This is a travel role working on commercial sitework and concrete projects. Travel out of town is required; per diem and hotel are provided for travel assignments. You’ll work on forming, rebar, placement, finishing and basic site layout while reading drawings and coordinating with foremen and supervisors. This role offers steady commercial work, hands-on skill development, and clear opportunities to advance into lead or supervisory positions.

What you'll do

• • Travel to out-of-town commercial job sites (per diem & hotel provided) and follow jobsite schedules and directions from supervisors.
• • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and site layout plans to set forms, layout rebar, and establish grades.
• • Perform concrete formwork, place and tie rebar, fabricate rebar cages, and assist with concrete placement and finishing operations.
• • Carry out slab-on-grade, wall/column, tilt-up/precast, and general concrete curing and protection tasks as directed.
• • Operate hand and power tools, maintain equipment and basic tooling, and keep work areas clean and safe.
• • Follow site safety procedures, report hazards, and work with the crew to meet project quality and schedule targets.

What we're looking for

• • Minimum 5+ years of commercial construction experience (commercial concrete, civil, or sitework strongly preferred).
• • Willing and able to travel out of town for projects; per diem and hotel provided for travel assignments.
• • Valid driver’s license with a reliable driving record and ability to travel to remote sites.
• • Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and site layout plans.
• • Hands-on experience with rebar placement/tie, concrete formwork and finishing, and general site layout.
• • Physically fit: able to lift heavy materials, work long days outdoors in varied weather, and perform repetitive tasks safely.

Qualifications

• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• • 5+ years commercial construction experience (concrete/civil/sitework)
• • Experience with rebar placement, fabrication of rebar cages, and slab/tilt-up work
• • Comfortable reading blueprints, as-built drawings, and using layout tools; Procore/Bluebeam experience a plus
• • Willingness to submit to background and drug screening if required
• • Own basic hand tools and PPE (steel-toe boots, glove, etc.) preferred
