About this role
Seeking a hands-on construction laborer to travel across Georgia and support civil site work projects. You'll assist crews on jobsites, perform material handling, basic excavation and site cleanup, and learn pipelaying tasks if needed. This is a physical, practical role for someone who shows up ready to work and wants steady field experience. Work will be based out of Atlanta with regular travel to project sites throughout the state. Pipe crew experience is a plus, but we welcome applicants who are teachable and want to grow their skills in site civil work and pipeline support.
What you'll do
- Load and unload materials, tools and equipment at job sites
- Perform site cleanup, debris removal and maintain a safe work area
- Assist with excavation, trenching and backfill under crew guidance
- Support pipelaying tasks and help the pipe crew when needed (cutting, fitting, shoring)
- Operate hand and basic power tools; carry out manual handling and rigging as directed
- Follow site safety plans, attend site-specific safety briefings and use PPE properly
What we're looking for
- Hands-on civil site work experience preferred; open to candidates willing to learn on the job
- Able and available to travel across Georgia to multiple project sites
- Experience loading/unloading materials and general construction site labor
- Comfortable performing excavation/trench work and physical labor in outdoor conditions
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and ability to follow crew directions
- Willingness to work under supervision and take on training for pipelaying or other site skills
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between sites
- Able to lift and carry 50+ lbs repeatedly and work in outdoor conditions
- OSHA 10 or willingness to obtain within a reasonable timeframe (preferred)
- Basic ability to read measurements and follow written or verbal instructions in English
- Previous experience with excavation, trenching, or pipelaying is a plus
