General Labor Yard Foreman

About This Role

Hands-on Yard Foreman needed in Monroe, LA to run warehouse-to-site material logistics. You’ll lead a small crew to offload/load trucks, stage materials, maintain inventory, and schedule deliveries to job sites. This is a physical, practical role — you should be comfortable in the yard and on jobsites. Pay is up to $36/hr. Typical day starts early and focuses on getting the right materials to the right place on time. You’ll be responsible for safe handling, clear staging, and keeping the warehouse ready for the next day’s deliveries while supervising four craft workers who assist with deliveries.

What You'll Do

• • Direct and supervise a crew of 4 craft workers during offloading, loading and deliveries
• • Stage materials at the warehouse for next-day deliveries and on-site staging
• • Load and offload trucks safely and efficiently, using equipment as required
• • Control and reconcile inventory; perform daily counts and report shortages
• • Coordinate and schedule deliveries to multiple job sites, track ETA and delivery status

What We're Looking For

• • 2+ years experience in yard, warehouse, or material handling role; some leadership experience required
• • Ability to lift and move heavy materials repeatedly (typical construction yard demands)
• • Clear communicator with basic scheduling and crew supervision skills
• • Familiar with inventory control practices and basic record keeping
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from Monroe, LA job sites

Qualifications

• • Forklift certification preferred (or experience operating forklifts/pallet jacks)
• • Previous foreman/lead or crew supervision experience
• • High school diploma or GED preferred
• • Able to pass background check and drug screen
• • English proficiency for crew communication; Spanish a plus
