About This Role

Experienced GPS Dozer Operator needed in Allentown, PA for grading and earthmoving projects. You’ll run GPS-equipped dozers to hit grade, move material, and finish sites to spec. This is hands-on work — set up grade controls, read plans, and keep machines running. We want a reliable operator with 3–5 years’ proven experience on GPS dozers who understands grading, excavation, and safe site practices. You’ll work with site supervisors and other operators on commercial and municipal projects. Competitive pay based on experience and steady local/regional work available.

What You'll Do

  • Operate GPS-equipped dozers for fine grading, excavation, and site prep to meet grade specifications
  • Set up, check, and calibrate GPS/grade control systems and verify grade stakes or digital layouts
  • Read and interpret site plans, cut/fill maps, and survey stakes to achieve required elevations
  • Perform daily equipment inspections, routine maintenance, and report defects for timely repair
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area; follow jobsite safety plans and report hazards immediately
  • Coordinate with site supervisors, surveyors, and other operators to sequence work and meet project schedules

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years operating dozers with GPS/grade-control systems on commercial or heavy civil jobs
  • Able to read and interpret drawings, grade stakes, and site layout plans
  • Hands-on knowledge of general heavy equipment maintenance and pre-shift inspections
  • Experience with site layout, excavation/trench work, and basic loader/excavator interactions
  • Strong commitment to enforcing safety procedures and working in a team environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work outdoors in all typical construction conditions

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years’ documented GPS dozer operation experience
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites
  • Ability to read construction plans and grade elevations (English required)
  • OSHA 10 (preferred) or willingness to obtain on hire
  • CDL Class B or willingness to obtain (preferred)
  • Pass required background check and drug screen
