About This Role

Heavy Equipment Operator needed in Seabrook, TX for local loader and site work. You’ll run wheel loaders, skid steers and related gear to move materials, load trucks, and keep job sites flowing. Expect steady day-shift work, potential overtime, and a hands-on crew atmosphere. Pay is competitive ($26–$34/hr DOE). This is physical, outdoor work — you must be reliable, safety-focused, and able to operate equipment efficiently. Immediate starts available for qualified operators.

What You'll Do

  • Operate wheel loaders, skid steers and related heavy equipment to load/unload trucks, move aggregate, and grade work areas
  • Perform pre- and post-shift equipment inspections; report defects and complete basic maintenance (lubrication, refueling)
  • Read site plans and grade stakes, follow hand signals and radio directions from foreman/lead
  • Load materials to trucks, place base material, backfill and compact as required
  • Keep work areas clean and safe: remove debris, secure equipment, follow lockout/tagout and other safety procedures

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years operating wheel loaders or similar heavy equipment on construction sites
  • Ability to read grade stakes, follow hand signals, and operate equipment safely around crews
  • Comfort with physical labor: lifting, climbing, working in heat and rain, and standing for long periods
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Seabrook job sites
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check; reliable attendance and punctuality

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license (CDL Class A/B preferred but not required)
  • OSHA 10-hour construction card preferred
  • NCCER or equipment operator certification a plus
  • Able to read, write, and understand basic English; Spanish speakers encouraged to apply
