Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

About This Role

Seeking experienced industrial maintenance technicians from manufacturing and factory environments across the United States. This role focuses on keeping production equipment running—diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, HVAC and heavy-equipment systems to maximize uptime. You’ll work on-site in manufacturing facilities nationwide, supporting equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, installations, and safety compliance. Ideal candidates are hands-on troubleshooters who can read technical drawings, work across trades, and communicate clearly with operations and supervisors.

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems (motors, starters, controls, fuses, wiring, amps) and implement safe lockout/tagout procedures
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems: pumps, compressors, gas valves, hydraulics, diesel engines, drive trains and powertrain components
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections, routine servicing, installations (compressors, pumps, HVAC units) and document completed work orders
  • Read and follow technical drawings, blueprints and schematics; coordinate repairs with production to minimize downtime
  • Enforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with local, state and federal environmental and building regulations

What We're Looking For

  • Strong industrial/factory maintenance background with proven troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems
  • Hands-on experience with compressors, pump installation & maintenance, heavy equipment diesel engines, hydraulics and powertrain systems
  • Knowledge of building codes, environmental regulations, plumbing/pipefitting, gas systems, and general construction methods
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics, perform precise measurements and apply strong math/analytical skills
  • Clear verbal and written communication; able to work with operations, supervisors and cross-functional teams while enforcing safety

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; technical diploma or trade school preferred
  • 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
  • OSHA 10 (required) or OSHA 30 preferred; forklift certification preferred
  • EPA 608 HVAC certification or equivalent for refrigeration work (if applicable)
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and willingness to travel to multiple sites nationwide
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
