Connector Ironworker

About this role

Connector Ironworkers needed in North Louisiana (base: Shreveport, LA) for structural steel erection and high‑rise projects. You will be working on-site connecting and bolting steel members at height, using rigging and fall protection to keep the crew moving safely and on schedule. This is hands-on work: read and follow structural drawings, work with raising gangs, welders and crane operators, and perform layout and quality checks on connections. Local and regional projects — steady hours with overtime opportunities and pay based on experience.

What you'll do

• • Connect and bolt structural steel members at height during erection and raising operations
• • Use rigging, slings, tag lines and signal for cranes while working with operators
• • Follow structural drawings and site layout to set and align members accurately
• • Work with raising gang, welders and crane crews to sequence lifts and complete installs
• • Use fall protection and follow all safety procedures; inspect connections and report defects

What we're looking for

• • Proven experience in structural/connector ironwork and erection at height
• • Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and site layout plans
• • Rigging, hoisting and sling experience; able to lift, set and assist with rebar cages when required
• • Knowledge of building codes, precast erection, concrete reinforcing and general construction
• • Physically fit for climbing, lifting and working in all weather; reliable transportation to job sites

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred
• • Certified rigging/fabrication signaler or equivalent rigging experience
• • Fall protection training and competent person awareness
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• • Ability to communicate in English on-site; basic Spanish helpful
