About This Role

Industrial contractor seeking a Millwright Journeyman for a power project in Greenville, MS. Pay is $28–$34/hr plus $100/day per diem. Position is on a 5x10 schedule and offers steady, hands-on millwright work with opportunity for overtime. You will perform layout, installation, precision alignment, grout and torque machinery to tight tolerances, operate rigging and direct crane placement, and test/adjust equipment. Work takes place on an industrial construction site — expect heights, confined spaces, noise, and outdoor conditions. Open to workers willing to relocate.

What You'll Do

  • Plan, diagram and lay out machinery installation and millwright work from drawings and site benchmarks
  • Set, align, grout and torque machines and components to project tolerances using micrometers, levels and laser tools
  • Rig, hoist and position equipment; direct crane operators; use jacks, hoists, dollies and rollers for moves
  • Dismantle, move, reassemble and test machinery; troubleshoot and make necessary adjustments or repairs
  • Verify inventory and inspect foundations, establish centerlines/elevations, prepare foundations for grouting
  • Perform measuring, cutting, assembly and finish work with hand and power tools; follow site safety rules

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years industrial construction or millwright experience (power/industrial projects preferred)
  • Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints; perform precise layout work
  • Hands-on experience with rigging, hoists, jacks, torqueing, grouting and precision alignment tools
  • Able to work 5x10s, stand and move across site, climb ladders/scaffolds, and work in heights and confined spaces
  • Must provide required hand tools and pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing; valid U.S. driver’s license may be required
  • Follow and enforce safe work practices in noisy, dusty, and changing outdoor conditions

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Journeyman millwright certification or 5+ years documented millwright experience
  • Familiarity with precision tools (micrometers, dial indicators, lasers) and rigging/signal practices
  • OSHA 10 (preferred) or equivalent safety training; ability to follow site safety programs
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to pass background/drug screen
  • English proficiency to read plans and communicate with crew and supervision
