This role focuses on quality surface prep and applying protective coatings in interior and exterior marine environments. This is a Monday–Friday day-shift position (6:30 am–5:00 pm). Candidates must already live within 50 miles of Houma, LA. No per diem is available — local candidates only. Industrial pipe fabrication shop near Walker, LA seeks an experienced Paint Manager to run surface prep, coating, and painting operations for pipe spools, fittings, skids and assemblies used in oil & gas, chemical, power and marine projects. You’ll own quality, schedules, compliance, and continuous improvement for the coatings department while working closely with Fabrication, QC, and Project teams. This is a hands-on lead role: supervise blasters, applicators and inspectors; manage abrasive blasting, airless and plural-component spray, curing and internal pipe coating; troubleshoot coating defects; and keep accurate records for specs, waste handling and customer inspections. Pay up to $25/hr based on experience; OSHA 30 and NACE/SSPC inspector cert required.
