HDPE Fusion Pipefitter

About This Role

Seeking experienced HDPE fusion pipefitters in Carrollton, GA to install, fuse, and align high-density polyethylene piping systems on construction and underground projects. You’ll run butt and electrofusion operations, read layouts, and make precise pipe connections for water, sewer, or utility applications. This job is hands-on work on active sites. Ideal candidates are practical, safety-focused pipefitters comfortable with HDPE fusion equipment, underground pipe installation, and reading piping blueprints. Bring your tools, follow the layout, and produce clean, leak-free fusion joints every shift.

What You'll Do

• • Set up and operate HDPE butt-fusion and electrofusion equipment to make watertight joints
• • Fit, align, and install HDPE pipe runs per layout and grade
• • Prepare pipe ends, clean fusion surfaces, and perform quality fusion welds
• • Read and follow piping and mechanical blueprints, site layouts, and installation directions
• • Maintain fusion equipment, hand tools, and keep jobsite areas tidy and safe
• • Coordinate with crew and supervisors to troubleshoot and resolve piping or fusion issues on site

What We're Looking For

• • Proven experience performing HDPE fusion welding (butt and/or electrofusion) and installing HDPE piping systems
• • Skilled in general pipefitting: aligning, joining, and supporting pipe runs (including underground work)
• • Able to read and interpret piping & mechanical blueprints and layout drawings
• • Experience with soldering/brazing, steel and copper pipe installations, and DWV systems a plus
• • Capable of system troubleshooting to locate and fix leaks or fusion defects
• • Comfortable working on active construction sites and following safety procedures

Qualifications

• • Butt-fusion and/or electrofusion certification preferred
• • OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30 preferred) or equivalent safety training
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Carrollton, GA job sites
• • High school diploma or GED preferred; able to read blueprints and measurements
• • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• • English proficiency required; bilingual (Spanish) a plus
