About this role
Hands-on role installing and fusing HDPE piping systems on projects in and around Carrollton, GA. You’ll perform field fusion, fit pipe and fittings, pressure-test joints, and work with a crew to complete on-site installations. This is project-based, on-site work. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, handling heavy pipe and equipment, and performing fusion-related tasks. Open to candidates willing to relocate to the Carrollton area.
What you'll do
- Set up and operate HDPE fusion equipment (butt fusion and electrofusion) and complete quality joints
- Cut, prepare, align, and assemble HDPE pipe and fittings to plans and specifications
- Perform pressure testing, inspect fusion joints, and document test results
- Read basic plans and measure/mark pipe runs; verify line elevations and alignment
- Maintain fusion machines, tools, and site housekeeping; report equipment issues
- Work with crew foreman and other trades to coordinate tie-ins and schedule activities
What we're looking for
- Proven HDPE fusion experience in field installations (butt fusion and/or electrofusion)
- Experience with plastic pipe installation and general pipefitting tasks
- Ability to read measurements, follow installation plans, and perform basic layout
- Physically able to lift, carry, and maneuver pipe and equipment; comfortable working outdoors
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work on project schedules; open to relocation for this role
Qualifications
- HDPE fusion certification or documented field fusion experience
- Experience with plastic pipe installation and general pipefitting credentials
- OSHA 10 (or willingness to obtain on hire)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
