About this role
Local commercial construction crew is hiring a Pipefitter in Cartersville, GA to lay out, install, weld, and maintain multiple piping systems on active job sites. You’ll work on steam, hot water, heating/cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, sanitary, and process piping — including HDPE fusion work. This is hands-on, on-site work that requires reading plans, setting pipe supports, working in confined spaces, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs. Safety is a priority: you must follow site safety rules, complete site-specific training, and maintain a drug-free workplace.
What you'll do
- Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and pipe supports per plans and specifications
- Install and assemble piping for steam, hot water, heating/cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, sanitary, and processing systems
- Perform HDPE pipe installation and fusion welding/assembly
- Read blueprints, measure and mark pipe, and set elevations and hangers
- Work in confined spaces and follow lockout/tagout and other safety procedures
- Handle and move pipe and materials on site; frequently lift up to 50 lbs
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years commercial construction pipefitting experience preferred
- Experience with HDPE piping and fusion welding or demonstrable HDPE skills
- Able to read basic blueprints, layout drawings, and use measuring tools
- Capable of working in confined spaces and at heights when required
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual handling tasks
- Willingness to follow site safety rules and maintain a drug-free work environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Demonstrated HDPE welding/assembly experience or certification
- General pipefitting/pipelaying skills and welding ability
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and site background checks
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Cartersville jobsite
