Industrial Pipefitter

About this role

Work as an Industrial Pipefitter on project sites based out of Walterboro, SC. This role is hands-on: you’ll install, assemble, test and maintain piping systems, read drawings, follow safety plans, and work with tools and lifting equipment. Expect to work 40–60 hours per week with possible overnight travel and overtime as projects require. We’re looking for dependable, safety-focused tradespeople who can follow plans, operate aerial/scissor lifts and forklifts, perform cutting, threading, welding/brazing/soldering, and complete pressure and hydrostatic tests. On-the-job training is available for required safety certifications.

What you'll do

• • Assemble, cut, thread, weld, braze, solder and secure pipe systems, fittings and supports per drawings and specs
• • Lay out pipe runs, measure and mark materials, cut and bore holes in structures for installation
• • Install valves, controls and automatic regulation equipment; perform basic troubleshooting of controls
• • Inspect and test installed systems using pressure gauges and hydrostatic testing; document results
• • Operate aerial lifts, scissor lifts and forklifts safely; assist with lift planning and rigging
• • Follow pre-task safety plans, identify and correct hazards, maintain tools and jobsite housekeeping

What we're looking for

• • High school diploma or equivalent and proven industrial pipefitting experience on project sites
• • Comfortable working 40–60 hours per week with possible overnight travel and overtime
• • Skilled in welding, brazing, soldering, pipe threading, valve installation and general pipefitting
• • Able to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and basic construction documents
• • Physically able to lift up to 50–90 lbs, work at heights, climb ladders and stand long shifts
• • Safety-minded with the ability to follow procedures, create lift plans and use PPE correctly

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10-hour certification required — employer provides training if needed
• • High school diploma or GED
• • Valid driver’s license preferred
• • Basic English reading, writing and comprehension for technical documents and safety communications
• • Experience operating aerial lifts, scissor lifts or forklifts preferred (certifications a plus)
