Industrial Pipefitter — Carrollton, GA

About this role

We are hiring experienced industrial pipefitters for projects in Carrollton, GA. Work will focus on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial piping systems on both short- and long-term assignments. Ideal candidates are hands-on fitters who read drawings, install steel and copper piping, set valves and supports, and follow building codes and site safety rules. Expect a mix of above-grade and underground piping work, tie-ins, pressure testing, and coordination with other trades on site.

What you'll do

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, isometrics, and blueprints to lay out piping and supports
  • Install, align, and secure steel and copper piping, valves, fittings, flanges, hangers, and supports
  • Perform pressure testing, leak detection, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance on industrial piping systems
  • Work on underground and above-grade pipe systems, including excavation coordination and tie-ins
  • Follow site safety procedures, maintain tools/equipment, and comply with building codes and project specifications
  • Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to meet schedule and quality targets

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience installing and maintaining industrial piping systems (steel, copper, underground)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, piping isometrics, and installation details
  • Strong system troubleshooting skills, including pressure testing and leak repair
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and civil/underground piping practices
  • Physically able to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and follow site safety protocols; flexible to work varied schedules

Qualifications

  • Completion of a trade school program or pipefitter apprenticeship preferred
  • OSHA 10 (required) or OSHA 30 (preferred) safety training
  • Welding, valve-manufacturer, or pipe-threading certifications are a plus
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for jobsite access
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
