Stucco Pump Operator

About this role

Join a local stucco/plaster crew in Lakeland, FL as a Stucco Pump Operator. You’ll set up, run, and maintain plaster pumps, mixers, hoses, compressors and related equipment to keep plaster and stucco crews moving through the day. This is a hands-on role that focuses on safe, efficient equipment operation, troubleshooting blockages and malfunctions, routine maintenance, and keeping the site clean. You’ll work alongside foremen and superintendents to meet daily production and safety goals. Typical schedule is day shift with occasional overtime as project needs demand.

What you'll do

  • Operate plaster pumps, mixers, hoses, compressors and related pumping equipment during material placement operations
  • Set up, position and secure pumping systems, and break down equipment at the end of the shift
  • Monitor material flow, consistency and production rates; identify and clear hose blockages and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance and basic repairs on pumps, mixers and compressors
  • Clean pumps, hoses, tools and work areas to maintain safe, efficient operations
  • Coordinate with Foremen, Superintendents and field crews to meet daily production and safety goals and report issues promptly

What we're looking for

  • Hands-on experience operating plaster, stucco or material pumps, mixers, and related equipment
  • Familiarity with construction site layout, material handling, and basic concrete/stucco work
  • Ability to safely load, unload and transport equipment and materials; comfortable working on ladders and elevated surfaces
  • Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting pumps, hoses and compressors
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions, enforce site safety rules, and report defects or hazards
  • Physically able to lift and move equipment and materials (typical job-site lifting and standing)

Qualifications

  • Prior experience operating plaster or stucco pumps preferred
  • OSHA 10-hour construction card preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation to job sites
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills and familiarity with preventative maintenance
  • Ability to read job tickets, basic gauges and follow mix/flow instructions
  • English proficiency sufficient for safe communication on site; bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
