Project Manager — Van Wert, OH

About this role

Seeking a hands-on Project Manager in Van Wert, Ohio to lead drywall and general construction projects. You’ll run jobs from pre-con to closeout, coordinate subs and vendors, and make sure work meets specs, schedule, and code. This role is field-focused — you’ll be onsite regularly, directing crews, tracking progress, keeping project documents current, and communicating day-to-day with clients and trades. Ideal candidates have drywall or broad commercial construction experience and can move projects forward with clear direction and practical problem solving.

What you'll do

• • Plan and manage drywall and general construction project schedules, milestones, and on-site activities
• • Supervise crews and subcontractors; manage daily production and workforce assignments
• • Conduct site inspections for quality control and compliance with building codes and specifications
• • Maintain project documentation: RFIs, change orders, submittals, schedules, and daily logs
• • Communicate with clients, architects, and subcontractors; provide regular project updates and resolve field issues
• • Coordinate materials, deliveries, and vendor performance to keep work on schedule

What we're looking for

• • Proven experience managing drywall or general construction projects in a field role
• • Strong leadership with hands-on crew supervision and subcontractor management
• • Solid written and verbal communication skills for client and site-level correspondence
• • Working knowledge of building codes, construction methods, materials, and quality control
• • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint for reporting and documentation
• • Ability to resolve conflicts on-site, prioritize tasks, and keep projects on schedule

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card preferred
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• • Experience with contract documentation, change orders, and subcontracts
• • English required; Spanish helpful
• • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
