About this role

Looking for a hands-on QA/QC Manager to run quality control across construction projects nationwide. You will lead inspections, enforce building codes and project specs, and keep accurate documentation from mobilization through closeout. This role is site-focused and requires travel to project locations. You’ll work with project managers, foremen, and inspectors to prevent nonconformance, develop and enforce inspection and test plans (ITPs), and make sure work meets contract and regulatory requirements.

What you'll do

  • Develop, implement, and enforce inspection and test plans (ITPs) and quality procedures for construction sites
  • Perform regular site inspections, witness tests, document findings, and issue nonconformance reports
  • Review technical drawings and blueprints to verify work matches design and specifications
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, inspectors, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues
  • Maintain project quality documentation, logs, and records for audits and handover
  • Conduct risk assessments, monitor corrective actions, and track close-out of deficiencies

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in construction quality control or QA/QC leadership on commercial or industrial projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication; able to provide clear direction to field crews and write concise inspection reports
  • Solid knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulatory compliance at local, state, and federal levels
  • Experience developing and enforcing ITPs, work inspections, and test witnessing
  • Skilled at reading and interpreting technical drawings, shop drawings, and specifications
  • Organized record-keeping and experience with electronic document control or project quality systems

Qualifications

  • OSHA 30-hour construction safety (preferred)
  • QA/QC, quality management, or inspection certification preferred (NICET, CQI, or equivalent)
  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites nationwide
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic document control tools
  • Strong written and spoken English; additional languages a plus

What we offer

  • Paid time off and standard employee leave policies
  • Health, dental, and vision options (where offered)
  • Retirement savings plan options
  • Travel reimbursement or per diem for site assignments
  • Hands-on safety and skills training with clear advancement opportunities
