Quality Control Coordinator (QA/QC Manager)

Surprise, AZ Up to $37/hr

About This Role

Join our team in Surprise, AZ as a hands-on Quality Control Coordinator. You’ll inspect products and components in a busy factory, document quality results, and work directly with production, welding, and finishing crews to resolve issues and keep product moving. This is a quality role separate from production — you make the pass/fail calls. You’ll use tape measures, calipers, gauges and digital tools, log inspections in electronic systems and paper records, support training and process improvements, and help keep the shop safe and organized. This position pays up to $37/hr and is ideal for someone with construction or industrial inspection experience who likes clear, practical work and steady hours.

What You'll Do

  • Perform visual and tool-assisted inspections of products, components and subcomponents and issue pass/fail determinations.
  • Record and upload inspection data using iPad/phone apps, Excel, paper forms and company databases.
  • Work directly with production leads, weld technicians (including robots), and finishing crews to report, document and follow up on quality issues.
  • Use measuring devices (tape, calipers, micrometers, gauges) to create and implement proper quality checks and verify work to drawings/spool sheets.
  • Assist with training new and existing staff on inspection steps, documentation procedures and safety practices.
  • Maintain clean, organized inspection areas, manage document flow (digital and hard copies), and support continuous improvement of quality processes.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years construction or factory inspection experience; comfortable in a production environment but not doing production work.
  • Proven ability to read production/finish details, spool sheets and follow work instructions.
  • Skilled with measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, micrometer, gauges) and basic electrical test tools as needed.
  • Comfortable using iPhone/iPad, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and electronic inspection apps.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to work respectfully with production, welding and finishing teams to resolve issues.
  • Capable of sustained walking, standing, bending, lifting, and working in varied shop temperatures; reliable transportation to site.

Qualifications

  • State Licensed Electrician (preferred or required where applicable)
  • OSHA 30 preferred but not required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Fluent in English (reading and verbal)
  • 3+ years construction industry or related inspection experience

What We Offer

  • Pay up to $37.00/hr (based on experience) with steady day-shift hours and potential OT.
  • Paid on-the-job training and hands-on cross-training across inspection areas (including Finish Shop).
  • Safety-focused environment with required PPE provided and active safety programs.
  • Clear role separate from production — focused inspection responsibilities and documented processes.
  • Opportunities to learn digital inspection tools and improve shop processes that reduce rework and delays.
