Quality Control Coordinator (QA/QC)

About this role

Join a busy factory team in Surprise, AZ as a Quality Control Coordinator. You will inspect products and components, document findings in electronic and paper systems, and work directly with production, welding and finishing crews to resolve quality issues. This is a dedicated QC role separate from production work. You’ll work under the quality lead to maintain inspection standards, create and manage quality documentation, support training and process improvements, and keep the work area safe and organized. The role requires hands-on inspection using gauges and measuring tools, basic computer skills, and a team-first attitude.

What you'll do

  • Perform visual and tool-assisted inspections of products, components and subcomponents; issue pass/fail determinations.
  • Document and track inspections using electronic apps, iPad/tablet, and paper records; upload documents into company database.
  • Work with production leads, weld techs (including robotic welders) and finishing crews to report, document and help resolve quality issues.
  • Read and verify production/finish details and spool sheets; help design and implement proper quality checks with appropriate tools.
  • Assist in training new and existing staff on inspection procedures and quality expectations.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and actively promote safe work practices across the factory.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years construction or manufacturing experience with hands-on inspection or QC work.
  • Proven ability to use measuring tools: tape measure, calipers, micrometers, gauges and multimeter.
  • Comfortable with electronic devices (iPad, smartphone) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong communication and listening skills; able to work professionally with production and trades.
  • Able to read production/finish details and interpret spool sheets; troubleshoot and recommend corrective actions.
  • Physically able to walk, stand, climb, bend, lift and work in varying indoor temperature conditions.

Qualifications

  • State electrician license (required)
  • OSHA 30 (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • English — required
