Rigger (Per Diem)

About This Role

Join our crew as a skilled Rigger on per-diem assignments in Greenville, MS. You will plan, lay out and install rigging for lifting and installing equipment, machinery, pipe and steel on construction and industrial sites. This is hands-on work — setting up rigging, guiding loads with tag lines, and leading safe, efficient lifts. This role pays up to $34/hr plus per diem. You will work in varied site conditions including heights and confined spaces, inspect work for compliance with plans, and take corrective action when needed. Strong rigging experience, crane signaling knowledge, and required certifications are essential.

What You'll Do

• • Set up and rig large-scale heavy equipment for crane lifts; prepare rigging assemblies and slings
• • Guide loads into position using tag lines and communicate with crane operators using standard crane signals
• • Estimate sizes, distances, quantities and resources needed for rigging activities and plan lifts accordingly
• • Select rigging components, identify suitable rigging points, and develop basic rigging procedures for each lift
• • Inspect rigging and subordinate work for compliance with plans/specs; document deficiencies and implement corrective actions

What We're Looking For

• • Proven rigging experience on heavy industrial or construction sites — skilled level
• • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces and in changing outdoor conditions; able to climb ladders, scaffolds and manlifts
• • Ability to read basic plans, follow oral and written instructions, and communicate clearly with crews and supervisors
• • Familiarity with crane signaling, multi-crane/critical lifts, and load dynamics
• • Must be able to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing and fit-for-duty medical

Qualifications

• • NCCCO Rigger certification (required)
• • NCCER Advanced (required)
• • High school diploma or GED preferred
• • Able to pass pre-access drug/alcohol test and fit-for-duty medical
• • Proficient in crane signaling and able to read lift plans; English proficiency for safety communications
