Roofer — Residential & Commercial

Dallas, TX $19-$27/hr

About this role

Local roofing crews needed in Dallas, TX to install, repair and maintain residential and commercial roofing systems. You’ll work on neighborhood homes and local commercial sites handling shingles, metal panels, flashings and roof drains, following site safety and quality standards. This is hands-on work at heights in varying weather. Expect consistent, local assignments, close coordination with site supervisors and other trades, and a focus on safe, efficient completion of daily tasks. Strong attention to detail and reliable attendance are required.

What you'll do

  • Install, repair and replace roofing systems on residential and commercial buildings (shingles, metal panels, flashings, sealants).
  • Work safely at heights using fall protection, harnesses, and ladders; set up and dismantle scaffolding as required.
  • Load, unload and move roofing materials and equipment; use rigging and forklifts when needed.
  • Perform daily roof inspections, flashing and leak repairs, and finish work to ensure watertight seals.
  • Coordinate with site supervisors and other trades to maintain schedule and quality standards.
  • Maintain clean, safe work areas: site clean-up, temporary fencing setup, and traffic control when required.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience installing, repairing and maintaining residential and commercial roofing systems.
  • Comfortable working at heights in all weather and following fall-protection and site safety procedures.
  • Experience with scaffolding systems installation, rigging, and basic forklift operation.
  • Ability to load/unload materials safely, handle hand and power tools, and perform physical labor all day.
  • Basic carpentry skills for roof decking, trim, flashing and flashings; able to read basic plans and follow instructions.
  • Able to track time and materials, assist with work inspection, and train or mentor less-experienced crew members.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to local job sites.
  • OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training preferred.
  • Scaffold and fall-protection training/certification preferred; forklift certification a plus.
  • Ability to pass drug screening and background check per site requirements.
  • Physically able to carry materials, climb ladders and work on roofs safely.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus for onsite communication.

What we offer

  • Steady local work in the Dallas area — no long-haul travel required.
  • Consistent schedules with overtime opportunities for peak projects.
  • PPE and basic tools provided or tool allowance available.
  • Site-specific safety training (fall protection, scaffolding) and paid certification opportunities.
  • Clear path for advancement to crew lead/foreman with on-the-job training.
  • Daily hands-on work and variety — residential and commercial projects.
