Roofer
About This Role
Roofer needed for local Dallas, TX projects — residential and commercial. Work will include installation, repair, and routine maintenance of roofing systems on a variety of job sites across the Dallas area. Jobs include shingle, metal, and flat roof work and may involve rooftop solar installs and commercial roof details. This is hands-on work: expect to handle materials and tools, work safely at heights in varying weather, set up scaffolding and temporary protections, and coordinate with site supervisors and other trades. We're looking for dependable roofers who follow safety rules, show up on time, and take pride in quality workmanship.
What You'll Do
- • Install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial roofing systems (shingle, metal, flat systems)
- • Work safely at heights using fall protection and scaffolding; follow site safety plans and weather-related work rules
- • Load, unload, move and stage roofing materials and equipment; operate rigging and material handling tools as needed
- • Assist with PV (solar) farm rooftop installs and coordinate with electrical crews when required
- • Perform site cleanup, protection of finished areas, and report work inspection findings to supervisors
What We're Looking For
- • Experience with PV (solar) farm work or rooftop solar installs preferred
- • Loading and unloading of materials, safe material handling and basic rigging skills
- • Scaffolding systems installation and safe use of fall protection equipment
- • Work inspection and ability to identify and report roof defects or workmanship issues
- • Staff training or on-the-job mentoring experience a plus
- • Forklift operation or other powered material handling experience preferred
Qualifications
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites
- • OSHA 10 (or willingness to obtain within 30 days) and fall protection/harness training
- • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
- • Forklift certification and scaffolding certs preferred
- • Comfort working at heights and performing manual labor in varying weather
- • Basic English for safety communication; bilingual candidates a plus
