Scheduler / Planner (Construction Project Engineer)

About This Role

We’re hiring a hands-on Scheduler / Planner in Seattle, WI to manage construction projects from planning through closeout. You’ll build and maintain schedules, manage scope and deliverables, coordinate permits and inspections, and keep teams on track to meet quality and timeline targets. This role is practical and leadership-focused — you’ll work with superintendents, contractors, inspectors and clients every day. Use construction management software, read and interpret drawings, monitor costs and risks, and enforce quality control to deliver safe, on-time projects.

What You'll Do

  • Create and maintain project schedules and critical-path plans; update progress and adjust timelines to meet milestones
  • Define project scope, objectives and deliverables; coordinate with stakeholders on changes and approvals
  • Manage permit and inspection coordination with local authorities; prepare and submit required documentation
  • Evaluate bids and assist with contractor selection; coordinate subcontractor schedules and scope
  • Track project performance, costs and change orders; run risk assessments and recommend mitigation actions
  • Maintain project documentation in construction management software; lead site meetings and enforce quality control and safety standards

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years construction project management or scheduling experience on commercial or heavy construction projects
  • Proven ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication; experience managing teams and coordinating multiple trades
  • Working knowledge of building codes, permit processes and inspection requirements (local code familiarity a plus)
  • Experience with cost estimation, bid evaluation and contract/FOC management
  • Proficient with construction management and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Primavera or similar)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred; safety training required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Procore, Primavera P6 or equivalent construction software
  • Clear communication in English; bilingual skills a plus
