Full Time
Concrete Superintendent
About This Role
Looking for a hands-on Concrete Superintendent in Denton, TX. You’ll run daily concrete operations — overseeing formwork, reinforcing, placement, finishing, curing and excavation work. This is heavy, outdoor work; you’ll be on site directing crews and making sure concrete is placed right the first time. Pay up to $35/hr based on experience. We need someone who knows bench carpentry, rough and finish carpentry for concrete formwork, and how to manage crews in extreme heat and on trenches. If you run crews, read plans, and want steady local work, apply.
What You'll Do
- • Supervise daily concrete operations: formwork layout, reinforcing placement, concrete placement/pouring, finishing and curing
- • Manage and direct carpentry crews and foremen; assign tasks, track progress, enforce safety and quality
- • Coordinate scheduling for deliveries, equipment, subcontractors and inspections to keep pours on time
- • Inspect forms, rebar, mixes and finished surfaces; make on-the-spot fixes and ensure specs are met
- • Maintain daily reports, track material usage, equipment needs and labor hours
- • Enforce safety practices on site (trenching/excavation, heat-stress prevention, PPE) and address issues immediately
What We're Looking For
- • 5+ years supervising concrete crews or working as a concrete foreman/superintendent
- • Strong bench, rough and finish carpentry skills for concrete formwork and finishing
- • Hands-on experience with concrete placement, mixing, curing, finishing and extreme heat pours
- • Experience with concrete reinforcing, excavation/trench work and concrete curing/protection
- • Ability to read plans, set grades, and verify layout / tolerances on concrete work
- • Reliable, punctual, able to work outdoors in heat and lift/perform physical tasks as needed
Qualifications
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- • OSHA 10 (required) — OSHA 30 preferred
- • First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- • Ability to pass drug screen and background check
- • Concrete certifications a plus (ACI, field tech, etc.)
- • Spanish speaker a plus for crews with bilingual needs
What We Offer
- • Pay up to $35/hr depending on experience
- • Overtime available and weekly pay
- • Paid time off and paid holidays
- • Tool/boot/PPE allowance or reimbursement
- • Local Denton-area projects — less travel, more steady hours
- • Training and support for safety and concrete certifications
