Electrical Construction Superintendent

About this role

Seeking a hands-on Electrical Construction Superintendent based in Conover (Charlotte area) to lead field installation and maintenance on large commercial and mission‑critical projects. You’ll own daily field operations, scheduling, safety, QA/QC, BIM layout, prefabrication planning and supervision of multiple crews. This is an on-site role that requires clear communication with project management, safety, BIM and prefab teams. You’ll plan manpower and material logistics, set production goals, drive quality and safety, and keep work moving to meet project schedules. OSHA 30 is required; a state electrician license or 4–10 years of related electrical construction experience is required.

What you'll do

  • Supervise and direct on-site electrical crews; assign daily tasks and verify work meets plans and codes.
  • Create and maintain project schedule, weekly manpower plans and measurable production goals.
  • Develop and manage material management and jobsite logistics: ordering, receiving, staging and inventory control.
  • Lead BIM/VDC layout and coordinate prefabrication drawings and schedules with prefab and BIM teams.
  • Write and enforce site safety plan, hold toolbox talks, manage PPE and report incidents.
  • Develop and implement QA/QC plans, manage punch lists, testing and final inspections with GC and owner teams.

What we're looking for

  • OSHA 30 certification (required).
  • State electrician license OR 4–10 years of related electrical construction experience.
  • Proven experience supervising field crews on large commercial, industrial or mission‑critical projects.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of BIM layout, prefabrication planning and coordination.
  • Skilled in scheduling, manpower planning, material logistics, and setting/tracking production goals.
  • Comfortable with medium/high voltage equipment, conduit and raceway installation, transformers and lighting systems.

Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 (required); OSHA 10 a plus.
  • State-licensed electrician OR 4–10 years electrical construction experience.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs regularly and work indoors/outdoors in all weather.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Experience on data center/mission‑critical projects preferred.
