Electrical Construction Superintendent

About this role

Experienced Electrical Construction Superintendent needed in the Conover / Charlotte, NC area to lead field installation and maintenance on large commercial and mission-critical projects. You will run crews on site, coordinate with project management and trades, and ensure work is installed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership role: you’ll create and maintain project schedules and manpower plans, manage material logistics and prefabrication, lead BIM layout efforts, and own site safety and QA/QC. Expect indoor and outdoor work, frequent coordination with foremen and management, and responsibility for hitting production goals.

What you'll do

  • Plan, direct, and supervise electrical field crews day-to-day to meet project schedules and production targets
  • Create and maintain project schedules, manpower plans, and weekly production reports with PM and field ops
  • Develop and manage material management and jobsite logistics: ordering, receiving, staging, and staging layouts
  • Lead BIM layout and prefab coordination; review drawings and ensure timely delivery of shop drawings for install
  • Prepare and enforce site-specific safety and QA/QC plans; conduct daily safety briefings and manage punch lists
  • Train and evaluate onsite personnel, coordinate with foremen, and support hiring/assessment of temporary workers

What we're looking for

  • OSHA 30 certification required
  • State electrician license OR 4–10 years of related electrical construction experience
  • Proven experience managing crews and schedules on large commercial or mission-critical projects
  • Hands-on knowledge of conduit bending, medium-voltage equipment, transformer work, and branch/feeder installs
  • Experience with BIM coordination and prefabrication planning
  • Able to work indoors/outdoors, lift 50+ lbs regularly, and follow PPE and site safety rules

Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 (required)
  • State-licensed electrician OR 4–10 years relevant electrical construction experience
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
  • Familiarity with BIM/Revit coordination and prefabrication processes
  • CPR/First Aid or similar safety certifications preferred
